Proposal Review
2/15/07 at 2:29:29 PM

— Rebecca Rassier, Community Coordinator
Individualized Degree Programs

Monday was the spring IDP proposal deadline and so Kathryn and Rebecca are in the process of reviewing all of the submissions and getting ready for the advisory committee meeting at which certain proposals will be discussed.  This time around, we received fewer submissions than in past terms.  It's most likely a blip and not a trend, but we are nonetheless trying to come up with scenarios as to why there were fewer submissions.

This time around, there are a number of art/design/mass communication/communication studies type submissions and very few submissions with management concentrations.  Perhaps business is losing its sway over our youth?  OK, probably not, but we can still dream.

We are also working to develop our In and Out of CLASS presentation on "Writing as an Advising Tool."  Thinking about the information we plan to present had allowed us to look at this round of proposals with fresh eyes.  To find out more, come see us on the 28th!
