Spring is in the air, and that means lots of upcoming events. The CLA Student Board’s annual “More than a Major Fair” is scheduled for Wednesday, April 2, from 10:00 to 2:00, on the upper concourse of Willey Hall. This is the 11th annual fair that the Board has sponsored, and, as far as we know, it’s the only fair of its kind in the country that is run completely by students. So, mark your calendars and help spread the word (flyers will be forthcoming).

On Leap Day, Friday, February 29, the Arts Community will be offering a program titled, “Curriculum and Careers in Art Administration.” Sherry Wagner-Henry, program director in Theatre and Dance, is one of the key planners and participants in this event. The program will be held in 110 Heller Hall from 12:15 to 1:00. All students are welcome!

Don’t miss out on the world premiere of “Peace Crimes,” a Theatre Mainstage production. This is the story about a local group of Viet Nam-era pacifists who went to prison for acting on their beliefs. It holds special interest for me because I know several of the “Minnesota Eight,” and some of my advisees will be portraying them—old friends meeting new ones. The play runs from February 22 to March 2.
