Final Workshop & Staffing Changes in HNS 4/21/06 at 2:51:36 PM
Our final workshop of the semester takes place on May 16th, 1:30-3:30
in B-33. We will be welcoming Dr. Marilyn Becker, director of
admissions for the U's medical school, to discuss the Medical School
Application with pre-med students. This is a great session for
students just beginning their pre-med coursework to those who will be
taking the MCAT this summer to find out what is truly looked for on the
application and how they can make their applications as competitive as
possible. Come one, come all!
Changes again in the HNS community! We are pleased to announce Grant Schwartz will be transitioning from his role as our office specialist to the split position we share with Honors. Grant officially starts in his new role on Monday. Congratulations, Grant! This means, though, that we will again be looking for an office specialist. We will be welcoming back Majia Morton, our previous temp from Adecco, until we can find a permanent replacement for Grant's stellar front desk skills.
We also must announce that we are losing Bobby Bryant to the social sciences community. The switch to this community is a good fit for Bobby's academic background with a B.A. in history and a B.I.S. in global studies, anthropology, and European area studies. Bobby will be the social science community's web/tech person. Although Bobby is very excited about the change, we will be sad to see him go but wish him all the best and hope he comes back to visit!
