Experience Survey
4/21/08 at 2:08:59 PM

—Colin Delong,  Coordinator of Technology & Analysis
Office of the Assistant Dean

The Data Analysis & Management team has been busy of late, hard at work on CLA's first Experience Survey. The survey will be sent to nearly all currently enrolled CLA students. Its purpose is to collect data for use in outreach, assessment, and research within the college. The survey consists of four major components:
  1. Common questions - questions which are asked of all students, regardless of academic level or admission type

  2. Milestone questions - divided into 3 subsets (years 1/2, 3/4, and 5/6)

  3. Year-specific questions - one set of questions for each year, years 1 through 6

  4. Random subset questions - a weighted random sampling of students will receive additional questions, most of which are research-related
We're in the process of finalizing the online version of the survey, testing, and touching up the user interface, and hope to send it out the morning of April 22.
