Health Careers Fair Comes October 5th
9/6/05 at 10:40:28 PM

— Jennifer Rude, Academic Adviser

The HNS crew breathed a huge sigh of relief as we watched the last student print their registration and leave Walter Library.  As near as we can tell, we topped the charts for NHS orientation and are thinking we assisted around 120 transfer students.  Wow!  They're all excited to return for check-backs this fall (NHS were already asking if they can schedule their check-back appointments!), so we are looking at a busy semester ahead of us.

As Fall Semester creeps up on us, we are preparing for fall programming (watch for information about Fresh Start around the 2nd week of the semester!) and anticipating more training ahead after we hire our permanent office specialist.

We'd like everyone to mark your calendars for the Health Careers Fair on October 5th.  HNS assists the Health Careers Center with this annual event and this year promises to be another smashing success.  The HCC will be inviting programs ranging from Dental Hygiene to Genetic Counseling to Healthcare Administration to MD/PhD representatives to Speech/Language Pathology...and more!  The event starts at 3:30 in the Great Hall of CMU.  Please spread the word to your students!  More information can be found on the HCC events website (http://hccevents.umn.edu).
